Capturing Important Life Moments

I was honoured to be asked by this wonderful family, if I could document this moment in time for them. Their Grandfather had just been diagnosed with Cancer and was about to begin Chemo. We had a single window of Thanksgiving Day to make it happen. This was also the weekend that my family used to celebrate my Dad’s Birthday on, and the year before was the last chance we had, to sing Happy Birthday to him. He lost his battle with Leukaemia only a couple weeks later in 2018. So to have this family contact me and ask for this type of a photo session on this specific day was such a beautiful way for me to honour not only them but also my Dad. To say this was an emotional session would be a huge understatement. My heart ached for them as well as myself and I treasured capturing the tender moments between them and their Father/Grandpa. This was such a treasured time and I am so grateful to have been let in to such a sacred moment. There was also so much joy as you can obviously see in the photos. I think I went away more blessed and my heart full than they did! A few months later they reached out to let me know that he is doing really well and I am so grateful to have had the chance to be a part of their journey.

Business Portraiture

I have a Portable Studio and had the opportunity to take it on location to a local Business event. Here are some samples of  photos that I did for people wanting fresh professional portraits, for their Linkedin pages, Websites, and Personal Portfolios.

Summer Dayzzz at Greenbay

To say I love this family would be an understatement! They have been with us through thick and thin and even if we don’t get a chance to see each other too often during the busy year, summer is always something for our families to look forward to. When Margie asked me to bring my camera to camp, I jumped at the chance to take pics of their amazing family! I of course cannot just show you the picture perfect photos, because life and family are not like that most of the time, LOL. Alas, you also cannot see my husband behind me making weird faces trying to get these guys to laugh hysterically. I also felt that Sophie should have had her own personal blog post but I sufficed to add her epic caricature faces at the bottom of this post to bring a smile to whomever may come and visit this page. I hope you can get a feel for the joy and love this family brings wherever they go!

Baby Henry

Well, little Henry was quite the surprise and is now the youngest of six children! It’s funny how you don’t even know you needed the little person in your life until they arrive and then you realize, hey, where have you been all my life!? This is definitely how his Mama and Papa have felt, and he has been a beautiful addition to the amazing Duncan family. Welcome to the world Baby Henry!

Williams Park, Langley BC

This family was amazing! We had so much fun trying to get smiles and giggles from all the grand babies. I just can’t help but smile every time I see these photos. The children were real troopers and so were the parents :).

Harrison Wedding Bliss

What a beautiful windy day this was! Gorgeous for dramatic windswept photos. Congratulations to the beautiful couple! It was a wonderful day!

Seize the Moment!

I was walking along the road in a very random place and saw all these beautiful purple Lupines and gorgeous bright yellow Buttercups everywhere. I sent out a quick Mini Session post and this wonderful family seized the moment and we got pictures while these brilliant flowers were still in full bloom. Five days later everything had changed. Sometimes we have to drop everything and just appreciate the beauty around us for a moment. Grateful to have had the chance to catch up with old friends and have a lot of fun. We also had a special guest appearance by a friendly garden snake!

Gift for Grandma = Epic Family and Grandbaby Shoot

When I got the call to do a family shoot with 7 littles, I had no idea how much fun we would have. It was wonderful getting to know everyone and seeing how much everyone cared for and loved each other. I hope this captured the essence of who they are ad all the personalities of each tiny human. This was a wonderful morning to be trekking through the forest and we all survived!!!!

The Fleming Family

I had the privilege of meeting and photographing this wonderful family a few weeks ago! We had so much fun, as you can see, and we tried various challenging locations and they never blinked an eye! We even managed to get the dog posing, which I am amazed even happened lol!

As always, my most absolute favourites are those little candid moments where people don’t know they are being photographed and you catch a glimpse of something truly profound. I can’t say enough about how much I love the photo of their one daughter watching her dad from a distance. I am grateful to have caught some of these moments and I hope the Fleming family will enjoy them all, this is just a sneak peak ;).

Leeland – Worship Night at CLM, Langley, BC

This was a really wonderful opportunity to stretch my wings and try something new. And I got to photograph a fellow redhead! What a privilege to work for Covenant of Life Ministries, with Leeland as their guest, and be able to spend an evening combining my two favourite things in this world, Worship Music and Photography!

What I find so beautiful is watching each person interact with God as they spend time in Worship. It takes my breath away to get to observe something so sacred and intimate. I wish I could have posted more of the beautiful photos of the people in the crowd but I wanted to keep those private as it was such a personal moment to see and experience. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you all for this special worship night!
